Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Eric Wang has more than 18 years years of experience in venture capital investment, investment banking, and equity research. He is a managing partner at GRC SinoGreen Fund, a venture capital fund focused on green technology private companies. His investment approach is to identify technology discontinuities and cultivate the startups with defendable solutions and sustainable business models to bridge the gap. Dr. Wang is active on the board of the portfolio companies, helping entrepreneurs transform technology-centric startups into scalable enterprises. Previously, Dr. Wang was a managing director at WK Technology Fund, leading investments in semiconductors, networking, and software in Silicon Valley, USA, and greater China.
Dr. Wang is currently on the board of LED Engin, Cnano, RayPower, and Rancher Lab. His previous investments include Aleees (5227.TW), Aruba Networks (now HP), Ruckus (RKUS:NASDAQ), and Brion Technologies (now ASML). He also served as an independent director on the board of Swancore and Everlight Chemical.
Before becoming a venture capitalist in 2002, Dr. Wang was the global head of semiconductor research at ABN AMRO Bank. He started his career as a yield management engineer at KLA-Tencor in San Jose, CA.
Dr. Wang holds a Ph.D. in engineering-economic systems and operations research from Stanford University, and Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Hawaii, and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from National Tsing Hua University.
Chief Technology Officer
Mike Kubic cofounded Clean Wave Technologies in 2008, and currently is Chief Technology Officer. Mike brings over 20 years of experience in strategic product development, operations and business management, and enterprise leadership, as well as specific technical expertise in the design and manufacturing of complex high-power electromechanical systems. Throughout his career, Mike has influenced numerous leading-edge technology developments in electric vehicles, wireless telecommunications, and aerospace and defense.
Prior to founding Clean Wave, Mike was a consultant to Tesla Motors for the development and manufacturing of the original electric drive system for Tesla’s first vehicle, the Tesla Roadster, a high-performance electric-powered sports car.
Previously, Mike held a variety of leadership roles in business, engineering, and operations management at Accelewave Wireless Solutions, Remec Wireless Systems, and Spectrian Corporation, working in the development and manufacturing of innovative high-power RF electronic systems for commercial wireless telecommunications networks. Mike spent the early part of his career working in diverse engineering and product development roles at TRW Space and Electronics Group and Rantec Electronic Systems, supporting the aerospace and defense industries with the development and integration of advanced high-power RF antenna electronics and test systems.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Science in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Vice President, Engineering
Rudy Garriga is the Vice President of Engineering of Clean Wave Technologies, a role that he has held since cofounding the company in 2008. Rudy brings over 30 years of experience in technology innovation, product development, and engineering management. He is an expert in machine design, electromechanical systems, and materials science, as well as manufacturing operations, strategies, and processes.
Prior to founding Clean Wave, Rudy was the lead engineer at Tesla Motors for development and production release of the original high-performance electric motor for Tesla’s first vehicle, the Tesla Roadster, a high-performance electric-powered sports car.
Previously, Rudy held various senior engineering and management positions at leading semiconductor process equipment companies, such as ASML, LAM Research, Varian Associates, Eaton Corporation, and Applied Materials, where he led teams to develop revolutionary robotic processing equipment for plasma etching, CVD, PVD, and photoresist coating that represented pioneering advances in the evolution of silicon wafers used in microelectronics manufacturing.
Rudy has also successfully run his own consumer products company for the past 30 years, Slick 7 Products, the world’s leading supplier of high-performance electric motors and components for the competitive slot car racing market.
Rudy earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, Bachelor of Science in materials sciences and engineering, and Master of Science in materials sciences and engineering.
